Christmas Lights

I love Christmas lights!!!  This year we planned to go to Temple Square with the Bentley's, Nat and her kids, and Chris' Mom. Plans changed because is was so cold and super windy...not fun conditions to be walking around in. Instead Chris and I hopped in the car, grabbed some Christmas music and hot chocolate and went to Thanksgiving Point. We got to see tons of Christmas lights without getting out of the car.

This is a Kinetic Ice Sculpture...it was really cool in person.

At the very end they had the Christmas Story, illustrated by Simon Dewey, along with the words from The Nativity (from the Children's Songbook). It was so neat to end it all with the beautiful paintings and a wonderful reminder of what Christmas is really all about.

Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Chris' special birthday...12-12-12...by going to Rodizio Grill. Thank goodness for birthday deals! It was so yummy! I'm almost glad it costs so much otherwise I would want to go there all the time! Special occasions like this make it so much fun though!

 Satisfied Birthday Boy!

Chris ended up having 3 birthday dinners and a birthday lunch...what a spoiled husband...but it sure was fun!

Real Food...sort of

We tried feeding Lincoln rice cereal for the first time and it was quite the adventure! Not much stayed in his mouth but he sure seemed to enjoy it!

First Snow

Whenever we take a picture with Lincoln I feel like we have the same conversation that goes something like this...
Me: "Okay Lincoln, try and smile this time"
Lincoln: "I dare you to make me"
Oh well, the pictures are still cute. He just likes to put on his tough boy face.

Happy Days!

I just love this little boy!! And his smile melts my heart :)

Wanna be photographer

So Lincoln is 4 months old...already!!!!! Man time sure flies! I decided I could totally take pictures. I mean, I've watch my sister, Taneya, take pictures lots and it doesn't look that hard. Wow was I wrong! Taneya-you amaze me. Granted it does help when the subject of the picture cooperates (which Lincoln did not) and when you have adequate lighting but it takes a lot more talent than I have, that's for sure! This is how our wanna be photo session went...from bad to worse. Lincoln did not like it and it shows. I'm not going to lie....these pictures are hilarious!!!! I can't wait to show these to his futures girl friends, friends, fiance-you name it I will show them :) Pay back for not cooperating.

But in the end I sort of got a decent picture. He wouldn't even look at me though. Am I really that mean?!

Life lately...

I just started a new job! I love it!!!!!! This new job allows me to stay home with Lincoln tons more which is such a blessing. It has been so fun to be able to spend more time with him and Chris. I even cook dinner more now because I have time and don't feel so wiped out.  :) But anyway....here's what life is like around our house....
More time to play with Lincoln. He loves his turtle!
This one makes me laugh...one day he wouldn't breast feed and just kept squirming when I held him so I stuck him in his car seat and gave him a bottle and he was totally fine...silly boy!!!
Sometimes there is just too much to do and not enough hands....This carrier is a life saver!!
And just because I absolutely love pictures of sleeping babies...they are so precious!

Gearing up for winter

It has gotten COLD here in Utah. I almost thought I was back in Rexburg the other day...brrrr!!! So times call for the winter gear. I saw this hat and just had to get it for Lincoln. He's so cute in it and he really does like it. He just has a hard time showing emotion...must be a boy things ;)

Halloween 2012

We had lots of fun carving pumpkins this year. Lincoln even got a little taste of pumpkin painting, except on a squash. We couldn't find a baby pumpkin so we substituted :)
I think our little pumpkin/squash family turned out so good!!!!

LeAvEs!!!!!!!

All the leaves are pretty much off the trees and on the ground now. I took Lincoln outside for some fresh air and we decided to play in the leaves for a little bit. It was so much fun watching him try and figure out what in the world the gold, crunchy things were.

Lincoln even rolled over and I captured it all...how lucky is that?!

Ever wonder what happens when mom is gone...
