Date night IN!!!!

I told Chris if he wanted dinner tonight he would have to make it because I didn't want to. The result: Chris found a recipe and made a grocery list. My reaction: I will make dessert  :)   Date night in here we come!
Lincoln helping to write the menu for the special evening
What a delicious menu it was! Chicken Cordon Bleu, Creamy four cheese rice, and a scrumptious Peanut Butter Pie....mmmm!!!!!
Then Lincoln just took over and colored instead (with a little help) and loved the marker the best.

Look out Master Chef! Chef Chris is in the kitchen! Chris is really a great cook and always excited to try something new.

Lincoln waiting for dinner and showing of his new tie....what a stud!!!
 Yummy dinner!
Delicious Dessert!!!
We love having date nights in! Super yummy food and a great movie in the comfort and warmth of our cozy home!!!!!

New Entertainment

*Just a side note * Chris and I have decided we need to start doing things that involve us and take pictures and document the fun exciting things we do.......so this blog is more that just pictures of Lincoln. We love him and love to share all of his milestones and silly stories, but it would be nice to see other things as well.

With that being said...here are yet more pictures of our little Lincoln. His new form of entertainment while mom works it this trusty little box. It keeps him occupied for about 30 minutes. It makes working so  nice! Just throw a few toys in and we are good to go. The most popular item would have to be the sides. He loves to grab them and smile up at us. It's adorable!

The next form of entertainment that we just introduced were bubbles. Except he wasn't as thrilled as we expected him to be...

He eventually warmed up to them a little and tried to catch  one. But that's about as far as it went. There will be more bubble encounters  in the future because I love them!

Jump, Jump and Spitting

This is our new favorite form of entertainment. He will jump in this thing for a solid hour before he gets bored and I love it!!!! I can get so much done and he is super happy.

This last picture is one of my favorites. He has learned how to spit and loves to spit all the time. Sometimes it looks like a lot of hard work...but it is so funny to watch.

Time for Teeth!!!!

It's true...here come the teeth. Lincoln actually has two. They made their entrance one right after the other on Jan 20 and 21st. It seemed relatively easy and almost pain free. A couple nights before he was kind of fussy randomly through the night and was a little difficult to console until we massaged his gums. Poor kid. Now we have a mouth full of teeth on their way. I'm honestly pretty excited because then he can eat a little more independently!
Lincoln got a tooth brush for Christmas and has a real purpose for it now, instead of just to gum. And he sure does love to brush his teeth. Let's start good habits early!

Bed Time Blues

Lincoln has learned that the bumper pads can move. Some times he looks like you put him in jail and he is just so sad. Sometimes he loves to play pick-a-boo and is just too cute! Before we know it he will be trying to escape and climb out of his crib.

Sitting and Snow

My baby boy is growing up way too fast!!! He can sit now. Except when he gets really excited then he tends to fall over. He is just too cute!!!

Lincoln has gone mobile. We can't keep him on the bed by himself anymore. This is what happens...he scoots to the edge as fast as he can! He thinks its a great game!
We took Lincoln outside to play in the snow for the first time and he loved it! I think he just likes being outside.

We decided to try and sit him in the cart. All these new experience are so fun. He had a look of pure excitement the entire time we were in the grocery store. He sure is loving his new found freedom! I think he just enjoys being out of his carseat...he has never really liked that thing.

Life Lately (Picture overload!)

*Warning*
Tons of pictures to follow. Lots of updating to do and not enough time during the week.

We started Lincoln on rice cereal the first part of December...then came the sleepless nights. It was awful!!! We couldn't figure out what was wrong and the only thing we had done different was the cereal. So we quit the cereal and he started sleeping again. Maybe he just wasn't ready, maybe he didn't like it, or maybe it just didn't settle well in his little tummy. Well, a month later and we tried it again. He seemed to enjoy it the first couple of days and he continued sleeping well. After a few days he started swatting at the spoon, turning his head away, and even started waking up a million times at night. We quit the cereal again and he started sleeping. Maybe rice cereal and Lincoln just don't mix. Now comes the question...do we try oatmeal cereal or just jump right in to pureed foods? This first time mom business is tough.

I couldn't resist taking this cute picture of him in the tub. He could finally sit by himself without falling over. He love the bath...especially all the slashing.

I heard Lincoln making some noises after a nap so I went to get him out of his crib and found this. He is so mobile now that he just works his way around his crib with ease. We originally put the stuffed animals in there because we didn't have anywhere else to put them. I didn't think he would bother them but I was wrong. Turns out he loves them!

Since I work at home I try to find creative ways to keep Lincoln occupied. Sometimes I'm not quite creative enough so Lincoln takes matters into his own hands. This particular day he found a roll of wrapping paper. He had a blast playing with it and somehow he figured out to get under it. Every time he kicked his feet it would make tons of noise and he would start laughing. It was so fun to watch.

Lincoln got a little pop up piano...this is how he plays with it. He will hit the keys on the keyboard a couple of times and then he ends up chewing on it. Crazy kid :)

Thanksgiving 2012

We didn't get too many pictures during Thanksgiving because we were having too much fun. But here are a few...
There were lots of new toys to play with at grandma and grandpa's

Learning to drive a little too early. At least he was checking on coming traffic...just kidding. Just taking a lunch break in Burley.

The boys wanted to go shooting...here is there little set up. Chris had a bunch of product from work he wasn't going to use...they called it Redneck shooting. The little packets have red gel in it so after they were done shooting and took the remaining parts of the packets it looked like blood everywhere...crazy boys!!

Of course we did a girls craft. It was fun and they turned out so different.
