Shelves

I have been so excited about these shelves! My dad and I...well mostly my dad...made these shelves when we went to Idaho. Chris finally helped me put them up last night (thanks a million). I was so giddy after we got them up. I just love them!!!! They add so much to the room and it's so fun to be able to display fun stuff!! Thanks dad for all your help!!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

I have been getting so excited for all the upcoming holidays and all the events that surround them. To start off the awesome fall festivities we went to the pumpkin patch. I have been waiting since last year to do this. Everything is starting to be so much fun now that Lincoln is getting older and can do more things! It is AWESOME!!!
Anyway....back to the pumpkin patch. This place had a few animals...five to be exact. The had a couple sheep from Ireland, a teacup pig with an excessive amount of energy, a very ginormous pig, and a miniature donkey. It was a lot of fun to see Lincoln's reaction to each of these animals.
I love the look on his face...pure amazement.
Lincoln wasn't quite sure what to think about the pig. He started getting closer to the fence then the pig jumped and then he was done and didn't want to get very close.
 The little donkey was cute.

But we came for the pumpkins...There were so so so many! The had all these pumpkins stacked all fun on the straw bales and an huge field with more!
 So many decisions!
They also had a little pathway lined with pumpkins. There was a lot if things going on around and Lincoln was having a hard time focusing on the camera.

We went to the field to find our special pumpkins and took some fun pictures. It started raining and got really cold and windy but we still managed to get a few more pictures.

Lincoln found his pumpkin and was so proud of it!

All in all our first annual trip to the pumpkin patch was a very fun adventure! Can't wait to make more family traditions...they are great!!!

Discovery

Anatomy...it's coming. Lincoln has become very interested his appendages. At first it was his nose...and yes his finger was in his nose frequently! His has recently discovered his ears. His fingers are in his ears or he covers his ears while he yells. It is quite entertaining. He also likes to point out people's eyelashes and gives great butterfly kisses!

The many faces of Lincoln

The other day we were practicing Lincoln's "say cheese" face. It was quite a little adventure!

It kind of comes full circle...starts and ends with the same face...the one I get frequently...the "really mom?!" face. I loves it though. He is so full of personality. His favorite thing to do right now is color. We set up our old coffee table as a little kids corner with all his toys and coloring stuff. He will stay there for a good 20 minutes which is HUGE since he doesn't sit still...EVER!!! I love it though.
This new independent stage is so much. He and I have long conversations about something almost everyday. Not really sure what he talks but boy does he talk and tell stories like crazy. I thought girls were the chatter boxes...not so.
Another fun story, last night at the dinner table he dropped his spoon on the floor followed by his bowl and made lots of noise. For the next few minutes a very animated Lincoln was telling us the story over and over and ending with the loud CRASH! It was adorable.
What fun times we have with him!

Fall Family Pictures

College Football

This is by far Chris' favorite time of the year...college football season! This year Chris thought Lincoln needed to have a jersey too...show the BYU pride!!!
I love this picture!!!! Both of my boys together with the cutest smiles!
This boy is just growing up way too fast!
He is almost 14 months and is on the run.
*he walks like a pro and is starting to run...oh help me!
*getting a mouthful of teeth...6 with 2 almost poking through...endless drool is my new best friend!
*loves to watch Duck Tales and Cool Runnings (I need to have something to occupy him while I get showered! Don't judge :) )
*loves crackers and knows exactly where to find them
*he is the biggest drama king ever!
*gives the best courtesy laughs
*talks like crazy and then laughs like he just told the best joke ever!!!

He is definitely a handful but is so much fun. You can really start to see his goofy personality come through more every day.
Love these boys like crazy!

Fort Makin'

If there is one thing Chris is bound to teach Lincoln it is how to make a fort. This is not the first time they have made a fort but this is the first time Lincoln got into it almost as much as Chris. They were waiting for the BYU football game to start and had tons of fun. Lincoln even got a cape :) They were chasing each other throughout the fort and Lincoln was all laughs and giggles. So fun to watch and listen to!

Welcome to our fort!
Would you like a tour?
Well then, just follow me!

Too Cute

His favorite place to play right now...in the lid drawer. It's not a bad place either cuz he hasn't figured out how to get out! I can keep a real good eye on him this way!!!
Learning how to smile for the camera! Say "cheese" Lincoln!

The Stairs

Lincoln has been terrified of going down the stairs ever since we moved in. I haven't had to put a baby gate there so that's nice but we really wanted him to get over it and learn how to go down. He mastered going up just fine but down was a totally different story! Every once in a while we would put him on the stairs and pull his legs down to each step to show him how it feels. Then one day he just went for it! You could tell he was so proud of himself. After he made it down, he grabbed a book and went right back up the stairs and gave the book to Kambrie. It was so funny!

I don't know about these stairs!!!

Learning...

Life is busy!!!! Period! I am not one who likes to be busy. If I had it my way, I would be chillin at home most days just playin on the floor with Linocln, watching movies with Chris, and cooking insane amount of goodies. But that really can't happen and it's probably a good thing too :) But in all the crazy busyness we have had our moments of fun. Lincoln is very active and loves to play with anyone willing to play too. He has learned a little bit about balance and holding on tight...and loves when daddy plays horse. We also tried to have art time...except all Lincoln wanted to do was to eat the paint. It was a good try. He has also learned how to respond when I say "Smile for the camera!" and it's about the cutest smile and so genuine! Lincoln has also mastered the art of climbing and diving. His favorite place to climb is on the camp chair serving as our desk chair for the moment. He thinks he is so cool too. It's so fun to watch him grow and learn. He's getting so big!

Don't tell Chris, but Linocln loves pinterest! Shhhh....
