I usually don't like to do new year's resolutions. I feel to tied down and feel I am setting myself up for failure if I don't accomplish them all...I don't like to fail! This year hasn't been any different until today. I was inspired by a blog post from a family member to strive to improve my marriage by being a better partner any way I could. It got me thinking about how I could do that and eventually I started thinking of all sorts of things that would contribute...so my Goal List was born. Goals are important to have and honestly I don't think I have set enough these last couple of years. I just kept thinking in the back of my mind that I'm doing fine, there really isn't a need for goals. I really do want to get back into a better routine spiritually, physically, emotionally, and whatever! :) And I really believe setting some goals will help with that. So here goes...just a small list for now. I will probably add to it throughout the year but at least it is a start.
*Read one conference talk a day...not just listen. Read and take some notes and try to apply one thing to my life.
*Start a 31 days to better marriage routine. I just found an ebook on this very subject so I would like to read it and adapt it to myself and my marriage.
*Spend more quality time with Lincoln each day. Even if it is just for 15 minutes. Start now!!! He needs me.
*Because of the previous goal...Learn how to be more interactive and find fun activities to share with Lincoln
*Go on at least 2 dates a month with Chris.
*Stick to my work out routine....for real!! Tues, Thurs, and Saturday-30 minutes of cardio; Mon-ab asault, Wed-Off the Ball, Fri-Ab asault.
*Drink 3 water bottles a day
*More fruits and veggies
*Sugar only on very special occasions...REMEMBER: It does bad things to you!!! It's not worth it!
I guess this list really isn't that small...hopefully attainable. I can always improve and it will always be an ongoing thing. I'm excited to see how this year turns out!
